Santander Consumer Finance UK plc (SCUK) would like to invite you to a roadshow event to launch a new guide focussing on Vulnerable Customers – the first to be designed specifically for Motor Finance point of sale, written by the Money Advice Trust in collaboration with SCUK.
In order to support you when facing these difficult situations and ensure that together, we fully support our customer, we will be holding roadshows across the country to provide you with useful tools to identify vulnerabilities and manage those difficult conversations. Each session will last for 90 minutes with a maximum capacity of 30 delegates. As we are expecting each session to be very popular we are restricting attendance to two delegates per dealership, per session but you will be able to book spaces for each session should you wish to.
The 90 minute session will cover:
- The guide: Vulnerability – Decision making when purchasing a vehicle
- SCUK Vulnerability Journey
- The Regulatory Environment
- Obligations under SMCR
- How SCUK will support its dealers
- The challenges of identifying vulnerability and the guide in practice
- Q&A
With Vulnerability forming part of the FCA’s business plan year on year and their recently published proposed new guidance, this topic has continued to gain momentum and regulatory attention. With SMCR coming into force for Consumer Credit and Insurance on 09th December, increasing personal accountability within firms, we wanted to provide practical guidance to dealers when facing customers in vulnerable situations.
